Vice President Kashim Shettima highlighted that, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, the Federal Government has made bold decisions poised to transform Nigeria’s economic landscape.
Emphasizing this commitment, the administration is resolute in fostering youth empowerment and human capital development.
During a meeting with the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), led by Commandant Alhaji Ayodele Adeleke, at the Presidential Villa, the Vice President assured that the Tinubu administration is dedicated to leaving a legacy of a prospering nation.
The NISS delegation presented the findings of a study conducted by 86 participants in the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 16 on ‘Globalisation and Regional Economic Integration: Implications for Sustainable Development in Africa.’
VP Shettima praised the efforts of the EIMC 16 faculty and members, noting that their recommendations align with the Tinubu administration’s focus, particularly emphasizing the importance of investing in ICT and infrastructure development.
Speaking on the broader challenges faced by the African continent, the Vice President commended the relevance of the EIMC 16 research study, addressing issues such as cyber-terrorism, human and drug trafficking, money laundering, transnational extremism, banditry, and climate change.
Furthermore, Shettima emphasized the urgency to diversify the economy from oil, foreseeing a future where oil may not hold the same value in the next 20 to 30 years.
