Dr. Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, made this announcement on Tuesday, emphasizing that the 12-month paid internship is part of the government’s Three Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme.

The objective is to ensure that participants secure roles allowing them to apply the skills acquired during the training. The broader ambition of Nigeria’s 3MTT programme is to train three million technical talents within a few years, aiming to enhance the nation’s digital economy and position it as a net talent exporter.

The training will focus on various areas, including Software Development, UI/UX Design, Data Analysis and Visualization, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Data Science, Animation, AI/Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Game Development, Cloud Computing, and DevOps. Recently, Minister Tijani reported that over one million individuals have applied for the programme, highlighting the significant interest in this initiative.
