The Nigerian Senate has amended the Electoral Act to allow electronic transmission of election results, but with a condition that in case of internet failure, manual result collation using Form EC8A will be used.
This decision was made after the Senate initially rejected electronic transmission, but later reversed its decision during an emergency plenary session.
