The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday (9th April) and Wednesday (10th April) holidays for Eid El- Fitr celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, conveyed the Federal Government’s message in a statement on Sunday, signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Aishetu Ndayako.
He extended congratulations to all Muslim believers for successfully observing the fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.
Encouraging Muslims to adopt the values of kindness, love, tolerance, and peace exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad, he emphasized the importance of these virtues in fostering good relationships with neighbors.
Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo appealed to Nigerians to unite for the betterment and peace of the country.
He also wished all Muslim faithful joyful Eid-el-Fitr celebrations and prayed for Allah’s blessings and favor to be upon everyone and Nigeria.
