Former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has completed the takeover of Belgian third-division side Royal Excelsior Virton.
The former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has decided to purchase Royal Excelsior Virton, a small club in Belgium as the World Cup winner chooses to invest in a sport that has given him N’Golo Kanté aims.
Kante, who only recently left Cto consolidatestabilizeLeague side Al-Ittihad, will replace Flavio Becca at the helm of the Belgian club.
Driven by his passion for soccer, N’Golo Kanté’s aim is to continue structuring the club with a view to consolidating its foundations, stabilizing the staff and ultimately reviving RE Virton’s tradition of training through its youth academy,” the club said in a statement.
The 31-year-old World Cup winner will reportedly earn as much as €100m over the course of his three-year deal with Al Ittihad.
