Alyssa Carson, a 23-year-old from Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the United States, is quietly building a name for herself in space exploration circles. Though not an astronaut under NASA’s official programme, Carson has spent over a decade preparing for a future mission to the Red Planet.
Her journey began at the tender age of three after watching a cartoon episode about a trip to Mars.
