José Mourinho Departs AS Roma: Club Owners Seek Change for Future Success
AS Roma has announced that José Mourinho and his coaching staff will be leaving the club with immediate effect.
Mourinho, who became the team’s 60th coach in May 2021, achieved notable successes during his tenure.
Under his guidance, AS Roma won the Conference League in Tirana on May 25th, 2022, and reached the Europa League final in Budapest last season.
The club’s owners, Dan and Ryan Friedkin, expressed their gratitude to Mourinho for his passion and dedication during his time at AS Roma.
However, they believe that a change is necessary for the club’s best interests. The Friedkins wished Mourinho and his assistants the best in their future endeavors.
