The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) is optimistic that the commencement of domestic supply of Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel) by Dangote Refinery will lead to a drop in the pump price of the product.
According to Abubakar Maigandi, the National President of IPMAN, the Dangote Refinery has started supplying diesel domestically at a reduced price of N1,225 per litre, down from the previous N1,700 per litre.
Maigandi mentioned that while some marketers have already begun purchasing the product, the association is yet to procure it in bulk to ensure they get the best rates. He also noted that Dangote Refinery plans to release more products in the future, including Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
