ASUU Issues 21-Day Strike Notice to Federal Government
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has given the Federal Government a 21-day ultimatum to address its demands before embarking on a nationwide strike.
ASUU is seeking the implementation of the renegotiated 2009 agreement, funding for university revitalization, and the removal of its members from the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) platform. Other issues include university autonomy, proliferation of public universities, and unpaid academic allowances.
The 21-day notice is seen as a final warning before the union takes industrial action, which could disrupt academic activities across Nigerian universities
