The Director of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, has called on Northerners to support President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office, saying his continued leadership would benefit Nigeria.
Yari made the appeal at the palace of the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, in Zaria, Kaduna State, during an engagement between the APC campaign team and traditional leaders ahead of the planned flag-off of Tinubu’s re-election campaign rally.
The engagement forms part of the campaign council’s preparations for the rally, with Kaduna State scheduled to host the event, which President Tinubu is expected to attend.
Yari urged the people of Zazzau and other Northerners to support the president’s second-term ambition.
In his response, the Emir of Zazzau expressed support for President Tinubu but called on the Federal Government to intensify efforts to improve security and ensure the completion of ongoing projects to address the concerns of the people.
The meeting highlights the campaign council’s engagement with traditional institutions and other stakeholders as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
