OYO SCHOOL KIDNAPSOWORE LEADS PROTEST, DEMANDS RELEASE OF SCHOOL CHILDREN

A protest was held over the abduction of school children in Oyo State, with demonstrators calling for urgent government action to secure their immediate release and address rising insecurity across the country.

The Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, led the protest, demanding swift intervention from security agencies and stronger measures to curb the wave of kidnappings in Nigeria.

Sowore condemned the incident and expressed concern over the growing insecurity in the country, stating that if the government is unable to guarantee the safety of lives and property, leadership should be reconsidered.

Also speaking, the Publicity Secretary of the African Action Congress (AAC), Rex Elanu, urged the government to take decisive steps to ensure the safe return of the abducted school children and restore public confidence in the nation’s security system.

A protester, Christy Akija, also called on authorities to deploy all lawful and necessary means to secure the release of the children without delay.

The protesters demanded the immediate rescue of the abducted students and called for stronger and more effective measures to address persistent security challenges affecting communities across the country.
