Portugal versus Nigeria was the last friendly for Ronaldo and Portugal on home turf before heading to the 2026 World Cup. Portugal 2, Nigeria 1. The Super Eagles are now missing out from the greatest sporting event on earth. Another World Cup cycle ends with Nigerians watching from the sidelines instead of competing on the global stage.
Years of talent, resources, and hope wasted again. Until there is real accountability and reform in the administration of Nigerian football, this cycle of disappointment will keep repeating.
