World Cup 2026: England 0-0 Ghana.

A disciplined, tenacious defensive display earned Ghana a deserved point. England couldn’t unlock a compact Ghanaian back line.

“No need to panic,” Declan Rice said. But at this level England looked too slow and didn’t do enough to win. The left side was a problem until Nick O’Reilly came on and changed the tempo.

England stepped up after half-time and created chances. Bukayo Saka nearly broke the deadlock but his strike was pushed out for a corner. O’Reilly then rattled the bar with a header, and Harry Kane blazed the rebound over.

Thomas Partey controlled midfield for Ghana. They arrived with a clear game plan and fully deserved the draw. Both England and Ghana now have four points from two games.
