Following suspension of flight between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), UAE has written to the Nigerian government with conditions for resumption of flights between both nations. The letter was written through its embassy in Abuja Nigeria, said it has decided to remove the requirement for a Rapid Antigen Test at the airports in Nigeria.

The Nigerian government temporarily banned Emirates Airlines from operating in Nigeria over its refusal to fly passengers without a pre-boarding Rapid Diagnostic Test (RTD). A measure designed to curb spread of COVID19. The conditions listed are, number of passengers on inbound flights from Nigeria to the UAE should not exceed 200 passengers for two weeks. Only direct flights between the UAE and Nigeria will be allowed. Passengers are required present valid negative PCR test conducted within 48 hours before boarding. The UAE Embassy should be provided with an updated list of the approved PCR test centres by the Nigerian government
