President Tinubu Signs Bill Boosting Judicial Officials’ Salaries by 300%

In a move aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerian workers, President Bola Tinubu has signed a bill into law that increases salaries and allowances for judicial officials by 300%. This development underscores the President’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of Nigerian workers.

According to Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, the new Act prescribes salaries, allowances, and benefits for Judicial Officers, reflecting the changing realities and amending the provisions of the Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.), Act, No.6, 2002 (as amended).

This landmark decision demonstrates President Tinubu’s dedication to ensuring that every salary earner in Nigeria, especially those serving in vital roles, receives the recognition and compensation they deserve. By prioritizing the financial well-being of judicial officers, the President is reinforcing the integrity of the justice system and setting a new standard for leadership that values the hard work and sacrifices of all Nigerian workers.

The Senate had approved the bill in June, expressing their patriotic commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians. The National Assembly’s efforts in passing and transmitting the executive Bill are also appreciated.

This move is a testament to President Tinubu’s tireless efforts to build a more prosperous and equitable Nigeria, where every worker is empowered to contribute to the nation’s greatness.
