Retired Airline Pilot, Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo, the entrepreneur and philanthropist, founder of several companies ranging from maritime, agriculture, telecommunications, entertainment, oil and gas, to energy died on Sunday in London. He was 63.
The death was announced by his family.
Tributes to Mr Okunbor (Captain Hosa as he was fondly called) quickly came on Sunday, informal and formal statements in flow of social networks, with President Buhari, Governor Obaseki, business leaders, politicians, industry leaders, legions of fans weighing in.
Mr Okunbo had largely come to define the maritime industry and an array of business conglomerates. He also became a very rich man, estimated to be worth millions of dollars

Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo is survived by his wife, mother, brothers and sister, children and grandchildren.He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
