Nigeria Warns Against Foreign Interference in Ongoing Protests

As Nigeria grapples with the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests, the government has issued a heartfelt warning to external forces: respect our sovereignty.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, emphasized that Nigeria’s future belongs to its people, not foreign powers.

The protests, which erupted on August 1, have exposed the deep-seated frustrations of Nigerians.

Amidst the chaos, some have waved the Russian flag, calling for President Vladimir Putin’s intervention. But the Russian embassy has swiftly disassociated itself from these actions, denying any involvement.

As the protests turn violent, claiming lives and destroying livelihoods, Nigeria’s government urges the international community to respect its boundaries.

The nation’s struggle for self-determination is a human story, not a geopolitical pawn.
