LONDON – CELEBRATING AFRICAN WOMEN’S HEROICS: EMPOWERING A BRIGHTER FUTURE – PART 1

LONDON – CELEBRATING AFRICAN WOMEN’S HEROICS: EMPOWERING A BRIGHTER FUTURE – PART 1

We had a lovely evening of art, history, and culture yesterday at Lambeth Archives, 16 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1ET celebrating the achievements and contributions of African women, featuring stunning artworks by Melody Osagie (Mel.Ogb.Art), Sonia Ogbebor (soniaillustrations), and Ntiense Tom Udom (@ntgoldbest).

Raphael Kwame’s “The Benin (Edo) Bride” provides another beautiful lens through which we can view and celebrate the rich traditions of African culture.

The essence of the legendary “Emotan: The Humble Heroine” whose compassion and bravery have left an indelible mark on history is captured beautifully by Ntiense Tom Udom Ntiense Udom, in collaboration with digital artist Sonia Ogbebor.

The “ADESUWA Art Collection,” presented by hyperrealism artist Melody Osagie, and Sonia Ogbebor’s illustrations offer a profound exploration of African identity and heritage.

The “Adesuwa” collection embodies seven attributes: Amazing, Dedication, Excellence, Success, Uniqueness, Wealth, and Accomplishment. This initiative redefines the narrative of Strong Black African Women, using art as a medium to empower and enrich their lives.

Guests included art lovers and investors both local and international from Brixton, other parts of London, Nigeria, Ghana, France, and the United States.

The exhibition is free and open for viewing at Lambeth Archives 16 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1ET until the 30th of August.

Looking forward to meeting Kede and Esosa Aihie, the Curators of this Exhibition on Monday 19th August from 5-7:45pm.

Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate African women’s heroics and artistic brilliance.
