African Development Bank and African Guarantee Fund Launch AFAWA Finance Series in Kenya to Support Women-led Enterprises
The African Development Bank (AfDB), in collaboration with the African Guarantee Fund and the Office of the President’s Advisor on Women’s Rights, has inaugurated the 6th edition of the Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa (AFAWA) Finance Series in Nairobi, Kenya. This 3-day event, themed “Enhancing Financial Inclusion for Women,” aims to transform the financial landscape by fostering an environment where women entrepreneurs can thrive and contribute significantly to Africa’s economic development. The initiative targets mobilizing $5 billion in financing for African women-led businesses by 2026.
