A First Look at ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’: New ‘Game of Thrones’ Spinoff
Game of Thrones may be a distant memory, but the world of Westeros continues to thrive. Alongside the successful return of House of the Dragon, another spinoff is now in production: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on George R.R. Martin’s novella The Hedge Knight.
This new series will follow the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire, Egg, set about 100 years before the events of Game of Thrones. Fans might recognize these characters as Dunk and Egg.
The first image from the production features Ser Duncan, played by former rugby union player Peter Claffey. The cast also includes Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg, Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, and Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen.
“Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends,” reads the official synopsis.
