Naval Chief’s Wife Commissions Classrooms and Music Lab in Lagos🇳🇬
Mrs. Aisha Abbas, wife of the Chief of Naval Staff and President of the Navy Officers Wives Association (NOWA), has commissioned four newly constructed classroom blocks and a refurbished music laboratory at NOWA Secondary School, Navy Town, Ojo, Lagos.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Abbas said the project demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence within the naval community. She described the commissioning as a significant moment for naval education and emphasized the importance of education in preparing children for the future.
She also noted that frequent relocations in naval families make quality education a stabilizing factor for students, adding that the new classrooms and music laboratory are designed to promote creativity, critical thinking, and academic excellence.
Mrs. Abbas thanked Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, senior officers at Naval Headquarters, NOWA members, and the Parent-Teacher Association for their support. She reaffirmed the association’s commitment to educational, welfare, and empowerment initiatives for naval families, aligning its activities with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Commander Baba Magwi Inusa, Commandant of NOWA Secondary School, described the new facilities as more than infrastructural additions, calling them a strategic investment in creating a conducive environment for intellectual growth and creativity.
