The Museum of West African Arts (MOWAA) recently hosted a preview of its planned exhibition, ahead of its formal launch in 2026. The event drew tourists from around the world, who were given a glimpse of the museum’s extensive collection, spanning centuries of West African history.
MOWAA aims to provide a platform for cultural dialogue, fostering collaboration between artists and the global community. The museum has already brought positive attention to Benin City, showcasing its rich cultural heritage.
There were reports of disruption at MOWAA by alleged “thugs”, but the police were on hand to restore normalcy, and visitors were safely evacuated from the building.
