Engineer Emmanuel Kolawole and his team designed and deployed a 100kVA gasification plant in Ishieke, Ebonyi State; powered entirely by rice husk, a waste product once burned openly or left to rot. The results speak for themselves: clean electricity now runs a rice milling factory, local jobs have been created for husk collectors, diesel dependency and open burning have been reduced, and a single rice hub is generating enough husk to power over 17MW of clean energy every week.Beyond Ebonyi, his research spans Benue, Cross River, Nasarawa, Niger, Kogi, and Enugu; states sitting on massive untapped agro-waste that could fuel real energy solutions.This isn’t a concept.
