Nigeria’s Amaechi Morton advances through opening 400 hurdles race
Amaechi Morton on Friday qualified for the semi-finals of the 400m men’s hurdles in the on-going 2012 Olympic Games in London. He placed third in a time of 49.34secs.
Recent Stanford graduate Amaechi Morton, representing Nigeria, easily advanced after his opening-round race in the 400-meter hurdles as Olympic track and field got under way Friday.
Morton, running for his mother's homeland, ran 49.34 seconds to qualify for Saturday's semi finals. Americans Kerron Clement, Angelo Taylor and Michael Tinsley also all advanced
