Jonathan pledges to rebuild Baga, as NEMA distributes relief materials

Borno State government will soon get assistance from the federal government to specifically rebuild the town of Baga sacked and destroyed as a result of gun duel between the Multinational Task Force (MTF) and adherents of the Islamic sect, Boko Haram about a fortnight ago.

A source in the presidency, who was privy to a closed door meeting between Governor Kashim Shettima and President Goodluck Jonathan last Friday.

In the meantime, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has said its officials and humanitarian aid workers have commenced distribution of relief items to displaced persons affected by the military operation in Baga following the return of normalcy to the area
